Managing Time and Money

Most businesses are either spending too much time and not enough money,  spending too much time AND too much money, or worse, not spending enough time and not enough money when developing their web presence.

If you are the ‘spending too much time and not enough money’ company, stop now and seek out a qualified professional internet consultant or internet marketing company to help advise you on a clear, cohesive internet marketing plan.  You should not waste any time trying to figure out whether you need and html, asp or php based website and selecting a graphic designer and programmer.  Additionally, have a real budget prepared or have your consultant prepare one for you.  If you decide to go cheap … well, you know the saying “You get what you pay for?”

If you’re heading down the ‘spending too much time AND too much money’ route, stop now and seek out a qualified professional internet consultant or internet marketing company to help advise you on a clear, cohesive internet marketing plan.  Again, your valuable time should be spent finding a good consultant to work with … not figuring out the details of web design and programming.  Have a budget prepared BEFORE you seek a consultant; be conservative and think about your overall goals for having your website in the first place so you can determine your ROI.  You should not have to give up your first born to have a website but don’t get me wrong, web development is NOT cheap.

Now, if you aren’t spending ANY time AND not spending ANY money on developing your web presence … well, let’s face it, you’re in trouble.  If you are simply grabbing some web designer from a Google search and looking for the cheapest site around, I hope you aren’t expecting much and are willing to let your customers and future customers question whether to purchase your products or services.
